What we store, and why
Effective October 14, 2026.
Who we are
Sentinel Dynamics, LLC ("Flight Notifier", "we"), 1 Overlook Road, Newton, NJ 07860, operates flightnotifier.com and the Flight Notifier service and is the sender of every text message it delivers. Contact: hello@flightnotifier.com or (973) 862-8899.
What the service does
Flight Notifier reads device state from a customer's DJI FlightHub 2 organization and sends SMS notifications to recipients the customer designates when an aircraft begins a flight.
Information we collect
From customer administrators
- Account details: organization name, admin email address, password (stored as a salted hash), sign-in times.
- The FlightHub 2 organization key, stored encrypted and used only to make read requests to DJI's API on the customer's behalf.
- Project names and identifiers, device serial numbers, callsigns and aircraft states returned by FlightHub 2, kept as the most recent state and a log of flight sessions.
- The customer's livestream share link and, if the customer sets one, the share password, stored encrypted.
About notification recipients
- Name and mobile number and/or email address, entered by the customer administrator together with the consent statement the administrator confirmed and its date; for a mobile number, the date the confirmation text was sent.
- Delivery records for each message: the last four digits of the number or a masked email address, and the status or error codes supplied by our messaging provider or mail server.
- Opt-out requests (replying STOP), which we honour across every list immediately.
Automatically
- Standard server logs (IP address, request path, time). Logs never contain organization keys, passwords, message bodies or full phone numbers.
How we use information
- To detect flights and send the notifications the customer configured.
- To alert customer administrators about service problems (for example, a rejected organization key or an expiring share link).
- To operate, secure and support the service.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use mobile numbers for anything other than the notifications the customer configured and the related service messages (STOP/HELP responses).
Service providers
- DJI (SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd.): the FlightHub 2 API we read on the customer's behalf. DJI's own privacy terms govern FlightHub 2 and the livestream share page recipients open.
- Twilio Inc.: delivers SMS. Twilio receives the recipient's mobile number and the message text.
- Render (Render Services, Inc.) hosts the service and its database in the United States (Ohio region).
- Hostinger hosts flightnotifier.com and the mailbox that sends email alerts and administrator emails.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Retention
- Flight sessions, notifications and delivery records: 12 months, then deleted.
- Server logs: 14 days.
- Account and recipient data: for the life of the customer account, then deleted within 30 days of closure. Opt-out records are kept so we never message that number again.
Security
Organization keys and share passwords are encrypted at rest. All connections use HTTPS. The organization key is transmitted only to DJI's API host. Administrator sessions use secure cookies. Access to production data is limited to the operator.
Your choices
- Recipients: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; reply HELP for help. Ask your agency's administrator to remove you from a list.
- Administrators: edit or delete recipients, share links and projects at any time in the service; contact us to close the account.
Children
The service is for public-safety and professional organizations and is not directed at children under 13.
